Investigating the theme Garden Party to construct a clay slab cake slice through form, colour & texture.

Form, Colour & Texture.
From exploratory drawings through blind drawing, contour and a colour study the students developed work and even depicted their dinner in a colour study for homework. 
After examing and creating primary source studies of their objects the students begin to develop their designs - initial thoughts and ideas are explored.
The designs then are singled down and fleshed out considering different sides of the cake, annotating information such as additive & subtractive elements.
A final Design is also needed to continue onto the making stages: 
Once complete the designs are put into action!
The students use the slab method to construct the form of the basic shape. t
The students then begin to model their design to transform it into their desired cake slice.
